Insanity Workout Part 1: Exercise Madness

Well, I’ve been seeing this insanity workout advertised on shopping channels for a while now. Pro Video is the name of the game. I didn’t notice it much, but it did have a slight sheen to it. But I thought I’d give it a try. This is an ongoing record of my fitness journey, but can you make it to the end?

what is that?

If you’re unfamiliar with Insanity Workouts, Beachbody’s 10 DVD home cardio workouts require you to work out for about 40 minutes to an hour per session, six days a week. Adopts a maximum interval training method that turns interval training on its head. Instead of training at maximum intensity for a short period and then relaxing with a long rest before reaching another rapid high-intensity peak, at the maximum intensity, he trains for 3-5 minutes with 30-second rests in between, then starts. Return to sustained high intensity. I didn’t know that from the beginning.

who survives?

In my experience, not many! Quite a few people I know at work have tried an insanity workout but either gave up because of injuries (mainly knees or ankles) or simply felt it was too tough or too intense. I have yet to meet anyone who has completed an insane 63-day insanity workout program. I have yet to meet anyone who made it through the first month.

I read somewhere that only 17% of those who started an insane training program completed it.

New Beginning

Earlier this year, my life started to take off. My girlfriend and I moved to the city. For the first time in my life, I was able to live in a place that I wanted to live in, not through job hunting or chance encounters. Sorted life goals. After working at the same place for eight years, I quit, sent it off, and started a new job to rejuvenate my brain, work on business strategy, and create a marketing plan.

With all of this a fresh start, I decided I wanted to do fitness as well to get back in shape. It’s been probably 10 years since I set foot in the gym. Years ago, fitness and training were central to my life. Lifting irons in backstreet gyms was my way of life. For a year I was looking for a gym that was open on Christmas Eve. Hell, I started a sports nutrition company in my early twenties with then insanity workout buddies and sold flaxseed oil in the UK long before it hit the mainstream. So I was looking for a challenge that would make the future of fitness leap forward. Insane training seemed like the best option – take a few months to tear my body apart and reap the rewards.

Besides, how hard is insane training? I was sure it wouldn’t be that hard to sell a product to a large number of sofa surfers on the shopping channel. And the fact that I had never spoken to anyone who had completed it was another reason I gave it a try. I waited for it to arrive.

During that time, I laid out a long TV antenna cable and jumped rope for him for four days. I thought this would help start some kind of madness. On the first day, 3 minutes of hopping completely depleted my lungs. 5 minutes, 6 minutes, and 7 minutes the next day. Gasping for breath after each session of ski jumping, I found myself feeling worse than I had originally anticipated.

Insanity workout meal plan

We also used the Harris-Benedict formula to calculate the number of calories needed per day. That’s pegging me to 2,800 calories each day. So I headed to the supermarket to buy the groceries and ingredients I needed for my insane workout.

  • tuna
  • chicken
  • peanut butter
  • crushed nuts
  • spinach
  • egg
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  • brown rice
  • Apple
  • feta cheese
  • cottage cheese
  • natural yogurt
  • turkey
  • milk
  • frozen mixed berries
  • Flaxseed (Flashback to my sports nutrition store in the mid-1990s!)
  • whole grain muesli
  • nutrition bar

It seemed like a lot, but the food at work turns out he spends about £6 every day on sandwiches (and sometimes sausage rolls) in his truck.

After a lot of internet research, I purchased some new trainers from Amazon, the Inov8 BareXF 260s. Review your impressions so far.

Insanity Workout

Then came Beachbody’s Insanity workout his pack. One evening I randomly put his DVD in the player for 30 minutes and watched some sessions. You looked like you were going to try your best!!!! Slowly I realized that this was not going to be easy. And there was one woman to Shaun T’s right who just kept smiling despite the intense weirdness of her every exercise, I had no idea how she did it. I know her as Tania “The Machine”.

I was watching an exercise called jumping jack pushups. Do a normal push-up, but kick your leg out to the side as you descend, then bring your leg back up while straightening his arm. I tried. pain!

I fell easily, but when I pushed my body up, my left arm hurt. About 5 years ago, I broke my upper arm while snowboarding at a pro snow park, and I sometimes think about that. I can usually do about 15 push-ups, so I was quite surprised that one jumping jack push-up was that hard. What am I obsessed with here?

First day: strongest

So, it’s finally the first day! I created a meal plan that covers the 2,800 calorie-a-day option, complete with a meal sheet, exercise calendar, and fitness score sheet.

Monday morning. I wake up early and eat a 500-calorie fruit and cottage cheese combo plate before I go to work. It takes nearly 20 minutes to finish it. I’m not a morning eater. Vanilla Protein Shake 10:

45. I still feel full at lunchtime. It must be hard to eat that much. If you eat clean, 2,800 calories is a lot. Eating dirty food makes it easier to swallow calories, but this is quite different. I have to keep everything in check.

Coming from the UK, I had a hard time understanding what the American Cup was. All of Insanity workout Food’s recipes talk about measuring everything in a cup. I spent some time trying everything. Here’s a quick guide on how to use the cup method to quickly calculate calories. Worth checking out.

When I get home from work, I put on my new training shoes, my old shorts, and my old white cotton track vest. Ready towels and half a liter of water. I put a fit test on my DVD player and am pretty excited

Day 1 is the Insanity workout Fitness Test

This test allows you to check your health so you can track your progress for 63 days. By the end of the entire program, if he passes, he will have completed this conformance test five times.

So Shaun T, our trainer, and creator of Insanity workout took two students for a fitness test and showed us the exercises we do. After flipping through the disc previously, it was recognized as Tania “The Machine”, a smiling woman. The other is a guy named Chris, who looks pretty good, but he’s a normal guy. I tried to follow him for this session.

I got stuck and started doing a much harder warmup than I’ve done in a long time: jogs, jumping he jacks, Heisman, high knees, mummy kicks. That’s it, but it was a dense two minutes. Two minutes has never felt so long. Afterward, Sean T and two crew members do a short stretch before being guided through the exercises.

My results are below, with a brief explanation of each move. For each movement, she repeats as many times as possible for 60 seconds, then rests for 60 seconds before moving on to the next exercise.

Exercise 1: switch kick

2 kicks equal her 1 rep. Extend each leg in front of you and bring it over your hips. Jump from foot to foot so that both feet do not touch the ground at the same time.

First day: 50

Exercise 2: power jack

Jumping He is the same as Jack, but instead of spreading his legs when he lowers his arms, he squats.

First day: 36

Exercise 3: power knee

Place your hands together in front, place your left foot behind you, and raise your leg while lowering your hand to your knee. This tore my butt muscles to pieces.

First day: 62 inches

Exercise 4: power jump

While crouching, jump and slap your hands on your knees to return to your crouch. This made me gasp and choke.

First day: 24

Exercise 5: glove jump

Four jumps equal one repetition for him. Jump right, jump back, jump left, jump forward. I noticed the force jumping violently and the sphere jumping violently.

Day 1: 8

Exercise 6:Suicide Jumps

These are what I know as jumping burpees:

squat, into a push-up position, back to squat, and jump up. Repeat.

Day 1: 11

Exercise 7: Push-Up Jacks

Similar to a normal push-up, as I mentioned earlier, but when you go down your legs go out similar to a jumping jack. I was able to do more than one this time! Though I did feel my old snowboarding injury and all the titanium hardware in my right arm start to give me a bit of pain.

Day 1: 16

Exercise 8: Low-Plank Oblique

Get into a plank position with elbows on the floor and hands clasped. Then bring your left leg forward and to the side. Repeat with your right leg. This exercise completely blitzed my obliques and my stomach muscles. After this one, I was completely blasted and had to lie down on my towel for a few minutes.

Day 1: 23

After all that I dragged myself off the floor and jumped in the shower. But then I slipped off the sofa and had to lie in the middle of the lounge for 30 minutes. Damn, I was tired but happy. I pushed hard and was happy with what I accomplished. 1 day down, 62 days left. One thing people have told me is that I break a sweat after every session. it wasn’t me. Most of the time, I think the lungs and heart broke before the muscles. That may change as we progress through the Insanity program.
